During the 2018-19 academic year schools had the opportunity to find out more about the proposed changes for the new Education Inspection Framework. After consultation this framework was published by the Department for Education. It calls on school leaders to evolve the school curriculum that they have to ensure that it meets the needs of their pupils, families and the wider community. The feeling is that previous OFSTED inspection frameworks have in selected cases caused the curriculums in certain settings to be bent out of shape.
Work started to review and develop the curriculum offer at Hindhayes in the Autumn term 2018 and continued up until Spring 2020 when the global pandemic COVID-19 disrupted ongoing work.
Below is the journey that the school have been on under the direction of the SLT to meet the requirements of the Curriculum and Education Inspection Framework.
