Purple Mash

Purple Mash is the schools chosen learning platform for use at stage 3 of our response to class or school closure.

Class teachers will use Purple Mash to provide Remote Learning

They will identify activities for children ‘2DO’ from the wide range of resources within Purple Mash. Some activities such as a number game may be sent for a longer period of time and some activities set to be completed within a particular week. They will upload extra activities for each week where needed in the form worksheets to the 2DO as needed  and this may have a short recorded message with instructions from the teacher or a short video to watch if in the blog section if needed. Parents who can not print paper copies will need to email the school office and arrange to pick up a paper pack in a socially distanced manner.

Teachers will make use of high-quality resources and websites to support delivery of the curriculum including:

- ‘White Rose Hub’ daily maths videos

-  ‘BBC Bitesize’

- ‘The Oak National Academy’ resources (this is a government

funded website which provides an extensive range of high quality

  teaching videos and resources).

- Khan Academy (in some classes)

Your child will be given an empty exercise book to use if needed. Activities and work that are set through Purple Mash can be submitted to the class teacher who can leave a comment for the children. Learning will be differentiated to ensure it meets the needs of a range of abilities within the class, including pupils with special educational needs. Where possible, a personalised curriculum will be set for pupils who require it.

Class teachers will telephone pupils during the closure period to assess well-being and discuss how the home learning is progressing.

See the help sheets below for accessing your child's '2Dos'.
