Hindhayes Infant School

Inclusion

At Hindhayes we believe that inclusion is not an optional extra, but a fundamental right — and that by working together, we can create an environment where everyone can belong and succeed and thrive, not survive.

We have welcomed the opportunity to open a bespoke SEND unit as part of our educational offer to the community of Street. Sitting in it's own space within the school grounds, The Blossoms will offer adaptive and bespoke education for children with Educational Health Care Plans through a curriculum based on belonging, understanding themselves, understanding others and understanding the world. More information about The Blossoms, due to open in September 2026, can be found by following the links.

The school also welcomes a new Inclusion Fund granted by the Government in addition to our usual budget. Senior leaders have worked together to ensure robust processes for embedding the implementation of this Inclusion Fund and thorough monitoring and reflection will ensure impact and inform next steps. More information about the schools' strategy for this Fund can be found following the link.
